We don't gamble or cut any corners when it comes to safely delivering your tarantulas. Your convenience and satisfaction are our number one priority, so we offer an alive on arrival guarantee (AOA). Please consider that we can only achieve your convenience and satisfaction by putting the well-being of your tarantulas before anything else on their way to you. That is why we ask you to please read this section carefully and thoroughly.

 

You must be 18 years or older to purchase a tarantula from us. By ordering from us you acknowledge that you are 18 years or older and that you agree to all of our shipping terms and conditions.

You must accept our shipping terms and conditions before placing any orders.

Our shipping fee is a fixed $49.99 per shipment of tarantulas, to any of the 48 contiguous United States, which are the only states we ship to at the moment. So no matter how many tarantulas you order on one purchase, the shipping fee is still the same. We do required a min of $100 dlls purchase on any Tarantula orders for us to be able to ship.

 

We have an alive on arrival (AOA) 100% guarantee when you agree to the following conditions:

 

We only ship Priority Overnight with FedEx; 

  • This is the best way to ensure the well-being of the tarantulas. The less time in transit, the better chance they have to make it alive and well to their new home. If for any reason the shipping must be delayed due to weather, or any other reason beyond our control, we will let you know via email to make arrangements that work best for you.

We ship out on Tuesday or Wednesday only;

  • These are the two days determined by AllProShipping.com to be the safest for shipping tarantulas and other live animals. This company has been approved by FedEx to ship live tarantulas, reptiles, amphibians, and aquatics to homes and businesses through FedEx itself, and it is our current shipping method at VIP Tarantulas.

  • When it comes to orders, we cut the week on Friday at 11:59 pm U.S. pacific time. This means that all orders placed before that time will be shipped on the following Tuesday or Wednesday. Orders placed after that will be sent on Tuesday or Wednesday of the next week. 

  • For example, if you place an order on Friday, November 5, 2021, at 11;59pm or before, we will ship on Tuesday the 9th or Wednesday the 10th of november. If you place an order one minute later, on Saturday 6, at 12:00 midnight, or any time after that, your order will be sent on Tuesday the 16th or Wednesday the 17th of November. Please let us know after you place your order which of those days is more convenient for you so we can ship on the day that better works for you.

  • So please consider that overnight Shipping doesn’t mean that your tarantulas will arrive the next day you order them, it means that the tarantulas will spend the least amount of time in transit the day they are shipped to you.

We ship only to a FedEx Ship Center for recipient pickup:

  • Particularly when temperatures are extreme, you do not want your tarantula to be thrown into a truck and drive around the city for a few hours until it reaches your home. Again, the less time it spends in transit, the better chances for the tarantulas to arrive alive and well to their final destination.

  • If you wish to have a tarantula sent to your home, and not a FedEx Ship Center, let us know. We could ship it to your address, but please consider that it would be at your own risk, as our AOA guarantee would not apply under those circumstances.

When you decide to place an order, as you fill-up the “Shipping Details” section, make sure that your name and address are correct. That is ultimately what gets your tarantulas to you on time and not lost in transit. You don’t want this to happen because it could be fatal for your tarantulas. This would also void the AOA warrantyBased on your address, we will choose the FedEx Ship Center facility nearest you to ship your tarantulas to, where you can then pick them up.

 

Please be sure to be available the day your tarantulas are scheduled to arrive. Please do not forget your ID, it is required to pick up your tarantulas. If you do NOT pick up your package within 2 hours of its arrival at the FedEx Ship Center, our AOA guarantee will be void.

Please be aware that a FedEx Ship Center is a facility staffed with FedEx employees, This does NOT include FedEx Office, FedEx OnSite, or any other third-party location which might be closer to your home, but is NOT authorized for the delivery of live animals by FedEx.

We will not ship your tarantulas until you tell us which of our delivery days works best for you, so don't worry about receiving an order on a day that doesn't work for you. 

Also, if you happen to have two or more FedEx Ship Centers in your city, and there is one that works better with your commute, please let us know so we ship your tarantulas there. We just have to make sure it’s a FedEx Ship Center authorized for live animal delivery in order to send it there.

Once you place an order, email is going to be our main form of communication. Please make sure you type it correctly in the “Shipping Details” section when checking out, and that you always use the same email address to communicate with us.

Also, and only for shipping matters, we might have to call you, so please make sure that your phone is typed correctly too. Please double-check all your information once entered before clicking on the “continue” button.

 

After placing your order, please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. We are here to help, and your buying experience is very important to us.

 

Once you receive your tarantulas:

  • We suggest video recording the unboxing of your tarantulas. If any of them happens to be dead on arrival (DOA) it is the best way of letting us know. If they are all alive and well, then an unboxing video it’s a nice thing to have for yourself. Please consider that sometimes tarantulas might not be moving and seem dead when they arrive due to stress, low temperatures during the trip, or the fact that they could be saving energy because they are about to molt. Keep them in a warm, moist area, give them some water, and wait a couple of hours. Do not assume that a tarantula is dead on arrival just because it’s not moving.

  • We recommend having your tarantula’s terrariums ready before they arrive, and that as soon as possible, you unbox them and get them comfortable in their new home.
